Bio
Jose Vega is a Houston-born and Texas-based Hispanic photographer who graduated from Texas State University with a BFA in Photography and is currently working with a variety of clients. He uses a digital camera to illustrate the essence of people, places, and objects to communicate an appreciation of the world as well as introspection and meditation of the self with our reality. He has participated in a group exhibition, Sprezzatura (2022), where he displayed large format prints of his summer in Italy at Texas State University. Additionally, he was part of another group exhibition, A Letter to My Younger Self (2023), at the San Marcos Public Library and placed 1st in the juried photo competition, A Week in The Life (2023), hosted by the Texas State University LBJ Student Center. Jose last worked as a Digital/Video Specialist at the LBJ Student Center at Texas State University and is currently a free-lancing photographer working with several clients in the San Marcos-Austin area.
